Emsella Chair

Introducing the Emsella Chair.

BTL EMSELLA is the HIFEM® procedure, that utilizes electromagnetic energy, at a high frequency, to cause pelvic floor muscle stimulation completely non-invasively.

This treatment option may be helpful for both women and men with bladder control or sexual health concerns.

A single session brings you thousands of intense pelvic floor contractions that you would not be able to do on your own. These contractions are very helpful when it comes to muscle strengthening and re-education.

At Healthfocus Physiotherapy optimising patient care is at the heart of our practice.

For this reason, we perform a thorough pelvic health assessment prior to considering if the Emsella may form a part of your treatment plan.

If your pelvic health is on your mind book an appointment with Simone Bowler today.

Concussion focus

Why is assessment post concussion important? A detailed assessment after concussion is important to determine a person’s functional impairments and symptoms, to then prescribe an individualised rehabilitation plan.

If athlete’s are not guided through a return to play, with an understanding of the diversity of symptoms that may present, they risk prolonging symptoms, and spending more time on the sidelines than they need to.

Common post concussion symptoms can include headaches, dizziness, oculomotor coordination concerns, fatigue, brain fog, sensitivity to light and sound, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, and being more emotional than usual, among others.

We know that if an athlete has not fully recovered and returns to play and sustains another concussion the sequelae can be far worse and recovery will be much longer. Assessment will also identify those with more serious concerns or pathology who require further specialist review and referral.
