Dr Mandy Hobbs PhD

Mandy graduated from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences in 1986 and worked in Melbourne in the public Hospital system, Community Health and Private Practice before relocating to Albury in 1999 and joining the Healthfocus team. Mandy became a Director in 2005 through to 2018.

Mandy completed a Master’s degree in orthopaedic manipulative Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in 2004 and a PhD from Sydney University in 2011 researching Rehabilitation after Lumbar disc surgery. She has published several  journal papers on this topic and presented at conferences internationally and in Australia. She has supervised Honours students at Charles Sturt University and been a consultant for the Australian health Professional Regulation Agency.

Mandy has an interest in spinal physiotherapy, in particular chronic conditions and those requiring spinal surgery. She also treats people with Vestibular physiotherapy for balance and dizziness disorders, TMJ & facial pain as well as musculoskeletal conditions that affect speech.  Mandy is passionate about helping people achieve their goals by helping them overcome their barriers to good health.
